Within the most diverse areas EffCo implements substantial, financially measurable efficiency improvements, ranging between 15 and 25%. Every EffCo-project has to generate a Return on Investment, ranging between 2:1 – 3:1 per annum. With our support, our customers obtain substantially better results in the following areas:

Efficient use of resources

According to the specific needs of our clients, we work in the fields of: increased man-hour productivity, improved machine utilization, yield improvement, waste reduction, lead time reduction, quality improvement, etc.

Our methodology employs all the basic principles of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Business Process Re-engineering, World Class Manufacturing, Balanced Score Cards etc.

Supply Chain Management

We define the position of your organization in the supply chain and we develop and implement forecasting, planning and follow-up tools in order to help you control and measure the whole chain.

We implement systems, aimed at continuously measuring and meeting customer's expectations while in the same time keeping a strict cost consciousness.

We optimize route planning systems, warehousing techniques, picking systems, stock management, etc.

We book substantial results in the areas of marketing strategy, market approach, sales margin improvement, sales turnover increase, better interface between sales and production, development and implementation of sales forecasting, planning, follow-up and reporting tools, database management, etc.

Decrease of rework and double work by implementing improved communication flows

We improve your meeting structure and culture. We develop efficient meeting agendas and identify the necessary input information for each meeting. We develop and implement action-oriented minutes for the meetings.

Implementation of 360° pro-active management control systems aimed at sustaining the obtained results

We develop and implement the necessary forecasting and planning tools. We train and coach managers and supervisors in what we call “active supervision” : preventative and action-oriented follow-up, based on planning and positive and negative motivation. We improve reporting information and structures.

Increased personnel flexibility

We develop flexibility matrixes. Based on these, we develop in-house training plans in order to increase flexibility, we implement job combinations, re-organize shifts etc.

Identification and Implementation of "Best Working Practices"

The common denominator of all our projects is the implementation of improvements while keeping the Buy-In of all people concerned: employees and operators, supervisors, mid managers and executives.

Our consultants are trained in coaching organizations through change processes (new standards, new work processes, new management structures, etc.) and they manage to transform the initial resistance into new dynamics, aimed at efficiency and quality.

As from day one in 1994, our first client, DHL, asked us if we were willing to train their people in our methodology and philosophy, so that they could improve their processes worldwide themselves. We developed a training course, containing all our know-how and methodology and fully transferred it to our client. We are still world leader in this full transfer and continue applying it during all our projects, thus creating an in-house pool of EffCo consultants who guarantee continuous improvement within the company, using our techniques.

 
     
     
       
   

In our continuous search for providing our clients with integral solutions and based on our extensive consulting work with over one hundred clients, we ascertained that nowadays, in a more and more service-oriented environment, successful companies cannot rely solely on efficiency and strategy: globalization causes these elements to be copied very rapidly by competitors. In order to maintain competitive advantage, the  intangible aspects of business are becoming more and more decisive success factors.

During a major 3 year research project, which we undertook in close collaboration with IESE, one of Europe's top 5 business schools, involving 1500 top executives and more than 50 companies and with the help of 10 full time researchers, we discovered that the distinctive success factor, common to the most successful companies of the 21st century is: a very strong internal business culture, with people who strongly identify themselves with their company and its mission.

Therefore, EffCo, with the collaboration of Professor Pablo Cardona from IESE, has developed an all encompassing, high performance management system that solves the shortcomings of Management by Objectives and makes the company's mission and values part of management. The system is aimed at reaching the highest level of efficiency with the highest motivation and commitment of people by really implementing the Mission throughout all the levels in the organization. At this moment, Management by Missions© is the n° 1 topic at IESE.

 
       
   

Maximum efficiency is only possible when the people within a company reach their highest potential. To help our clients succeed in this challenge, EffCo has, together with IESE, developed the Cultural Assessment©, a very powerful tool that, with a low time and cost investment needed from the client's side, will provide our clients with a very detailed analysis of the convergence between the cultural and the operational aspects in your company.

EffCo is constantly pursuing a close relationship with its clients. Therefore, EffCo inaugurated its new offices in Istanbul, Turkey. Located in the Maslak financial district, the new office will provide services directly to all our clients in Middle East and Southern Europe.
 
EffCo has signed an important agreement with the Italian Chamber of Commerce (Camera di Commercio Italiana) to become their provider for management consulting services.
